I get a message "...database is already exclusively opened by another user..."

This seems to be a problem in Windows XP where a Shared folder becomes "damaged".
Rename the datasims.  Create a new folder called DATASIMS.  Copy all the files in the datasims backup folder
to the new DATASIMS folder.

After copying the files right click on the datasims folder and set Sharing and Security options exactly like it was
previously.
