To Compact database

1. Locate datasims directory
2. Make sure no one is using SIMS
3. Open Microsoft Access
4. Choose use existing database
5. Goto datasims directory 
6. Choose the file simsdata.mdb
7. Click tools
8. Click Database utillities
9. Click Compact and repair
10. It will seem as if nothing is happening (Be patient)
11. When tables return to centre of screen this is completed.
12. Close Microsoft Access

To Compact reports 

1. Same as above only step 6 become simsrep.mdb

To compact and repair Program

1. Click Start
2. Click Programs
3. While Holding down teh shift Key on Keyboard open SIMS
4. Follow step 7 to 12 on compact database
